Pi Phi's strong sisterhood stands out on the University of Utah's Greek Row. Our diverse qualities, passions, and sincere friendship make us one of a kind. As a chapter, our sisters gather a few times a month to participate in a Sisterhood. These are fun events to bond together and make lifelong memories. Past events have included corn mazes, movie nights, and volunteering.
This chapter pushes members to be the best versions of themselves. We are always looking for opportunities of growth. Pi Beta Phi is a support system through the good and bad. Whether it's grabbing a coffee during finals together or celebrating a birthday, Pi Phi sisters always have your back.
Every member of Pi Beta Phi gets paired up with a "big sister" or "big." Big's act as mentors to younger members in the chapter. It's nice to have someone to guide you through college and teach you from their own experiences. "Little sisters" or "littles" receive gift baskets during big little week. Their big is kept a secret until a special reveal. This is a strong bond in this chapter. Bigs and littles build strong bonds and remain friends for life.
The Utah Alpha chapter has a formal and a date night every semester. In fall, we have a formal unlike any other, our chapter chooses to wear matching Halloween costumes with our dates. Spring formal is formal attire and we wear dresses while dates wear suits. Formals are a blast and a great way to meet more people on campus. Date nights are casual. In the past, we have taken dates mini-golfing, ice-skating, and line-dancing.
